- " I aim for my work to invite the viewer to explore it's tactile as well as visual qualities and draw endless inspirations from the Cornish beaches and countryside. Powerful scenery provides a deeply inspiring backdrop to ancient myth and legend throughout this beautiful county and gives a sense of magic and mystery which influences much of my work. Ever-changing layers of colour and texture,reflected in dyed silks and fibres,crashing oceans and dark,haunting woodlands touch me profoundly. I am drawn to found and vintage objects and images, combining textile techniques with paint and collage, carefully drawn together to create a tiny, unique and personal world of wonderment to delight and enthrall the beholder!" I have lived in beautiful Cornwall since childhood and have studied many areas of Art and Design,including Fashion Illustration and Calligraphy. This led to a varied career,- as a glass engraver, designing and creating bespoke headresses for a large Bridal House and running my own small Art and Gift Store for several years to name but a few! I now work full time from my lovely home studio,specialising in Textile and Mixed Media Art.
